[17] A watchtower (aṭṭa) belongs to a single family: having deposited the robe within the watchtower, one must dwell within the watchtower. A watchtower belongs to different families, having various chambers and various inner rooms: in whatever chamber the robe has been deposited, in that chamber one must dwell, or [remain] at the entrance of the door, or one must not depart beyond hand's reach (hatthapāsa).
