[185] Bhikkhus, even then abuse and disparagement were displeasing to me; how much less, then, could abuse and disparagement be pleasing now? This, bhikkhus, is not for the confidence of those without confidence … And thus, bhikkhus, you should recite this training rule (sikkhāpada): "In insulting speech (omasavāda), there is an offense of expiation (pācittiya)."
