[191] **Craft (sippa)**: there are two kinds of craft — low craft and high craft.
**Low craft**: the craft of the reed-worker (basket-maker), the craft of the potter, the craft of the weaver, the craft of the leather-worker, the craft of the barber; or else whatever craft in this or that region is despised, disdained, scorned, treated with contempt, not held in esteem — this is called low craft.
**High craft**: reckoning by hand (muddā), accounting (gaṇanā), writing (lekhā); or else whatever craft in this or that region is not despised, not disdained, not scorned, not treated with contempt, but held in esteem — this is called high craft.
