[503] There is no offense (anāpatti): if he eats after having had it made left over (atiritta); if he receives it thinking, "I shall eat it after having had it made left over"; if he goes carrying it for the sake of another; if he eats the remainder of a sick bhikkhu's food; if, when there is a reason, he consumes what is allowable for a watch of the night (yāmakālika), what is allowable for seven days (sattāhakālika), or what is allowable for as long as life lasts (yāvajīvika); if he is insane; if he is the first offender (ādikammika).
The Fifth Training Rule is concluded.
