[521] There is no offense: for one who is sick; if, having become sick and asked, he eats when no longer sick; if he eats the remainder of [the food obtained by] one who is sick; [if he asks] from relatives; from those who have given an invitation (pavārita); [if he asks] for the sake of another; [if he obtains it] with his own resources; for one who is insane; for the first offender (ādikammika).
The Ninth Training Rule is concluded.
