[617] When less than half a month has passed, perceiving it as less than half a month, he bathes, except on an allowable occasion: an offense of pācittiya. When less than half a month has passed, being in doubt, he bathes, except on an allowable occasion: an offense of pācittiya. When less than half a month has passed, perceiving it as more than half a month, he bathes, except on an allowable occasion: an offense of pācittiya. When more than half a month has passed, perceiving it as less than half a month: an offense of dukkaṭa. When more than half a month has passed, being in doubt: an offense of dukkaṭa. When more than half a month has passed, perceiving it as more than half a month: no offense.
