[683] "By one who is training (sikkhamānena)" means: by one who desires to train. "Should be understood (aññātabbaṃ)" means: should be known. "Should be inquired about (paripucchitabbaṃ)" means: [it should be asked,] "Venerable sir, how is this? What is the meaning of this?" "Should be reflected upon (paripañhitabbaṃ)" means: should be thought over, should be weighed. "This is the proper conduct (sāmīci) therein" means: this is conformity with the Dhamma (anudhammatā) therein.
