[750] There is no offense (anāpatti): when there is an urgent matter of such a kind; when he enters having taken leave of a bhikkhu who is present; when, no bhikkhu being present, he enters without taking leave; when he is going to another monastery (antarārāmaṃ)¹; when he is going to the bhikkhunīs' quarters; when he is going to the sleeping quarters of sectarians (titthiyaseyyaṃ); when he is going to the refectory (paṭikkamanaṃ); when the road passes through a village; in emergencies (āpadāsu); for one who is insane; and for the first offender (ādikammika).
