Ekanipāta

[164] Bhikkhus, it is impossible, there is no chance, that a woman could be an Accomplished One, a Fully Self-Enlightened One (arahaṃ sammāsambuddho) — such a possibility does not exist. But it is possible, bhikkhus, that a man could be an Accomplished One, a Fully Self-Enlightened One — such a possibility does exist.
