Ekanipāta

[172] Bhikkhus, it is impossible, there is no chance, that an undesirable, unlovely, disagreeable result (vipāka) of good conduct in thought (mano-sucarita) should be produced: this is not possible. But it is possible, bhikkhus, that a desirable, lovely, agreeable result of good conduct in thought should be produced: this is possible.
