[395] Bhikkhus, there are these two kinds of sympathy (anukampā). What two? Sympathy with material things (āmisānukampā) and sympathy with the Dhamma (dhammānukampā). These, bhikkhus, are the two kinds of sympathy. Of these two kinds of sympathy, bhikkhus, this is the foremost, namely, sympathy with the Dhamma. The Chapter on Giving, the Third, is finished.
