[553] [114] Bhikkhus, there are these three persons who, not abandoning this, are bound for a state of loss (āpāyika), bound for hell (nerayika). What three? One who is not living the holy life (brahmacariya) yet claims to be one who lives the holy life; one who accuses a person living the pure holy life, one practising the holy life in purity, with a groundless charge concerning the holy life; and one who speaks thus and holds this view: 'There is no fault in sensual pleasures,' and thereby falls into indulgence in sensual pleasures. These, bhikkhus, are the three persons who, not abandoning this, are bound for a state of loss, bound for hell.
