[571] [132] Bhikkhus, these three things are carried on concealed, not disclosed. What three? (1) Womankind (mātugāma), bhikkhus, is carried on concealed, not disclosed. (2) The mantras of the brahmins (brāhmaṇa), bhikkhus, are carried on concealed, not disclosed. (3) Wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi), bhikkhus, is carried on concealed, not disclosed. These, bhikkhus, are the three things that are carried on concealed, not disclosed. Bhikkhus, these three things shine when disclosed, not when concealed. What three? (1) The orb of the moon, bhikkhus, shines when disclosed, not when concealed. (2) The orb of the sun, bhikkhus, shines when disclosed, not when concealed. (3) The Dhamma and Discipline (dhammavinaya) proclaimed by the Tathāgata, bhikkhus, shines when disclosed, not when concealed. These, bhikkhus, are the three things that shine when disclosed, not when concealed.
