[584] 145. Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu who possesses three things has reached the ultimate goal, the ultimate security from bondage (accantayogakkhemī), the ultimate holy life (accantabrahmacārī), the ultimate consummation, and is supreme among devas and humans. What three? The marvel of psychic power (iddhi-pāṭihāriya), the marvel of mind-reading (ādesanā-pāṭihāriya), and the marvel of teaching (anusāsanī-pāṭihāriya). A bhikkhu who possesses these three things, bhikkhus, has reached the ultimate goal, the ultimate security from bondage, the ultimate holy life, the ultimate consummation, and is supreme among devas and humans.
