[140] Bhikkhus, there are these four kinds of speakers. What four? There is, bhikkhus, the speaker who comes to exhaustion in regard to the meaning but not in regard to the phrasing. There is, bhikkhus, the speaker who comes to exhaustion in regard to the phrasing but not in regard to the meaning. There is, bhikkhus, the speaker who comes to exhaustion both in regard to the meaning and in regard to the phrasing. There is, bhikkhus, the speaker who comes to exhaustion neither in regard to the meaning nor in regard to the phrasing. These, bhikkhus, are the four kinds of speakers. It is impossible, bhikkhus, there is no chance, that a bhikkhu endowed with the four analytic insights (paṭisambhidā) should come to exhaustion either in regard to the meaning or in regard to the phrasing.
