[129] Bhikkhus, these five persons are destined for the plane of misery (apāya), destined for hell (niraya), festering, incurable. Which five? One by whom a mother has been deprived of life; one by whom a father has been deprived of life; one by whom an arahant has been deprived of life; one by whom, with a mind (citta) of hatred, the blood of the Tathāgata has been caused to flow; and one by whom the Saṅgha has been divided. These indeed, bhikkhus, are the five persons destined for the plane of misery (apāya), destined for hell (niraya), festering, incurable.
