[146] "Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu (bhikkhu) possessed of five qualities should not be associated with as a friend. Which five? He instigates work projects; he takes up disciplinary issues (adhikaraṇa); he is hostile toward eminent bhikkhus; he lives intent upon long and unsettled wandering; and he is not capable, from time to time, of instructing, exhorting, inspiring, and gladdening [one] with talk on the Dhamma. Bhikkhus, a bhikkhu possessed of these five qualities should not be associated with as a friend.
