[365] Bhikkhus, there are these six impossibilities (abhabbaṭṭhāna). What six? A person accomplished in view (diṭṭhisampanna) is incapable of depriving his mother of life; a person accomplished in view is incapable of depriving his father of life; a person accomplished in view is incapable of depriving an arahant of life; a person accomplished in view is incapable of shedding the blood of a Tathāgata with a mind (citta) of hatred; a person accomplished in view is incapable of causing a schism in the Saṅgha; a person accomplished in view is incapable of designating another teacher. These, bhikkhus, are the six impossibilities.
