[399] Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of lust (rāga), six things (dhammā) should be developed. What six? The perception (saññā) of impermanence, the perception of suffering (dukkha) in the impermanent, the perception of non-self (anattā) in suffering, the perception of abandonment (pahāna), the perception of dispassion (virāga), and the perception of cessation (nirodha). Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of lust, these six things should be developed.
