[268] Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge (abhiññā) of lust (rāga), five dhammas should be developed. What five? The perception of impermanence (aniccasaññā), the perception of suffering (dukkha) in what is impermanent, the perception of non-self in what is suffering, the perception of abandonment (pahānasaññā), and the perception of dispassion (virāgasaññā). Bhikkhus, for the direct knowledge of lust, these five dhammas should be developed.
