Paṭhamaiddhipādasutta

[67] Bhikkhus, whatever bhikkhu or bhikkhunī develops five dhammas and cultivates five dhammas, for that one, one of two fruits is to be expected: either final knowledge (aññā) in this very life, or, if there is a residue of clinging (upādisesa), the state of non-returner (anāgāmitā). What five? Here, bhikkhus, a bhikkhu develops the basis for success (iddhipāda) endowed with concentration (samādhi) due to zeal (chanda) and volitional formations of striving; ... concentration due to energy ...; ... concentration due to mind (citta) ...; he develops the basis for success endowed with concentration due to investigation (vīmaṃsā) and volitional formations of striving; and intense exertion (ussoḷhī) as the fifth. Bhikkhus, whatever bhikkhu or bhikkhunī develops these five dhammas and cultivates these five dhammas, for that one, one of two fruits is to be expected: either final knowledge in this very life, or, if there is a residue of clinging, the state of non-returner.
