[107] Bhikkhus, in eight ways a woman binds a man. In which eight? By her form (rūpa), bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by her smile, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by her speech, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by her singing, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by her weeping, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by her deportment, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by a gift of wild produce (vanabhaṅga), bhikkhus, a woman binds a man; by touch (phassa), bhikkhus, a woman binds a man. In these eight ways, bhikkhus, a woman binds a man. Bhikkhus, those beings who are bound by these are well bound indeed—bound as if by a snare.
