[199] Bhikkhus, if it wishes, the Saṅgha may revoke the act of reconciliation (paṭisāraṇīyakamma) in the case of a bhikkhu who possesses eight qualities. What eight? He does not strive for the loss of gain to householders; he does not strive for the harm of householders; he does not abuse or revile householders; he does not divide householders from householders; he speaks in praise of the Buddha; he speaks in praise of the Dhamma; he speaks in praise of the Saṅgha; and he makes good a legitimate promise given to householders. Bhikkhus, if it wishes, the Saṅgha may revoke the act of reconciliation in the case of a bhikkhu who possesses these eight qualities.
