[270] Bhikkhus, there are these five aggregates subject to clinging (upādānakkhandhā). What five? The form (rūpa) aggregate subject to clinging, the feeling (vedanā) aggregate subject to clinging, the perception (saññā) aggregate subject to clinging, the volitional formations (saṅkhārā) aggregate subject to clinging, and the consciousness (viññāṇa) aggregate subject to clinging. These, bhikkhus, are the five aggregates subject to clinging. For the abandoning of these five aggregates subject to clinging … these four establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna) should be developed.
