[111] Then a certain bhikkhu approached the Blessed One; having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Sitting to one side, that bhikkhu said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, it is said: 'one beyond training (asekha), one beyond training.' In what way, venerable sir, is a bhikkhu one beyond training?"
"Here, bhikkhu, a bhikkhu possesses the right view (sammādiṭṭhi) of one beyond training; he possesses the right thought (sammāsaṅkappa) of one beyond training; he possesses the right speech (sammāvācā) of one beyond training; he possesses the right action (sammākammanta) of one beyond training; he possesses the right livelihood (sammā-ājīva) of one beyond training; he possesses the right effort (sammāvāyāma) of one beyond training; he possesses the right mindfulness (sammāsati) of one beyond training; he possesses the right concentration (sammāsamādhi) of one beyond training; he possesses the right knowledge (sammāñāṇa) of one beyond training; he possesses the right deliverance (sammāvimutti) of one beyond training. It is in this way, bhikkhu, that one is one beyond training."
