[174] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you the dhamma that is conducive to torment (tapanīya) and the dhamma that is not conducive to torment (atapanīya). Listen to that … And what, bhikkhus, is the dhamma conducive to torment? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the dhamma conducive to torment. And what, bhikkhus, is the dhamma not conducive to torment? Abstention from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the dhamma not conducive to torment."
