[173] "Bhikkhus, I will teach you the blameworthy and the blameless. Listen and attend carefully; I will speak." "Yes, venerable sir," those bhikkhus replied to the Blessed One. The Blessed One said this: "And what, bhikkhus, is the blameworthy dhamma? The destruction of life (pāṇātipāta) … wrong view (micchādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the blameworthy dhamma. And what, bhikkhus, is the blameless dhamma? Abstention from the destruction of life … right view (sammādiṭṭhi): this, bhikkhus, is called the blameless dhamma."
