[211] 6. This indeed was said by the Blessed One, said by the Arahant — so I have heard: "Bhikkhus, a person (puggala) possessing two things (dhammā) is deposited in heaven (sagga) as if carried and placed there. What two? Good virtue (sīla) and good view (diṭṭhi). Possessing these two things, bhikkhus, a person is deposited in heaven as if carried and placed there." The Blessed One spoke this meaning (attha). In that regard it is said: Good virtue and good view — the person endowed with these two things, with the breakup of the body, that wise one is reborn in heaven. This meaning too was spoken by the Blessed One — so I have heard. The Sixth.
