[96] The Blessed One heard, with the divine ear-element (sotadhātu), purified and surpassing the human, such conversation between those two great nāgas (mahānāga). Then the Blessed One, having understood this matter, on that occasion uttered this inspired utterance (udāna): "Whose mind (citta), like a rock, stands firm and does not waver, dispassionate toward things that incite passion, unangered by what provokes anger — for one whose mind is developed thus, from where will suffering (dukkha) come to him?" The fourth.
