Good men (sappurisā) have I attended upon;
the teachings (dhammā) have I heard constantly;
having heard them, I shall enter upon
the straight path (añjasa) that plunges into the Deathless (amata).
For me, mindful (sato), with lust for existence (bhavarāga) slain,
lust for existence is found in me no more;
it was not, and it will not be for me,
nor even now is it found in me.
The Elder Kaṇhadinna.

Sobhita, Valliya the seer (isi),
and the Elder Vītasoka,
Puṇṇamāsa and Nandaka,
Bhārata and Bhāradvāja,
