[289] 2. Impermanent are houses — here and there, again and again; seeking the house-builder (gahakāra): birth (jāti) again and again is suffering (dukkha). House-builder, you are seen! You shall not build the house again: all your rafters are broken, and the ridge-pole is shattered; the mind (citta), made free of all bounds, will be extinguished right here. The Elder Sivaka.
