[299] 2. Whatever young bhikkhu indeed applies himself in the Buddha's teaching (Buddhasāsana), he is awake among those who sleep; his life is not in vain. #1 Sī. Yu.: patisuttesu. Therefore, to faith (saddhā) and to virtue (sīla), to confidence (pasāda) and to the vision of the Dhamma (dhammadassana), let the wise one devote himself continually, remembering the teaching of the Buddhas.
