[300] 3. "Whose faculties (indriya) have attained calm, like horses well tamed by a charioteer? One with conceit (māna) abandoned, free from taints (āsava) — even the devas envy such a steadfast one (tādī). My faculties have attained calm, like horses well tamed by a charioteer; with conceit abandoned, free from taints — even the devas envy me, such a steadfast one." Brahmāli the Elder.
