"Afflicted by the wind disease, dwelling in the woodland forest,
in the rough resort you have entered — what will you do, bhikkhu?"
"Suffusing this bodily frame with abundant rapture (pīti) and happiness,
enduring even what is rough, I shall dwell in the woodland.
Developing the seven factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga), the faculties, and the powers,
endowed with the subtlety of jhāna, I shall dwell free of taints (āsava).
Constantly reviewing the mind (citta) — pure, released from the defilements, unclouded —
I shall dwell free of taints.
Whatever taints of mine there were, within and without,
all have been cut off without remainder, and they arise no more.
The five aggregates (khandha) are fully understood; they stand with their root cut off;
the destruction of suffering (dukkha) has been attained; there is now no renewed existence."
