[426] 7. "On the fourteenth, the fifteenth, and the eighth day of the fortnight, and during the special fortnight (pāṭihārikapakkha), I kept the observance day (uposatha) fully endowed with its eight factors, longing for the company of devas (devakāya). Today — living on a single meal, shaven-headed, clad in the outer robe (saṅghāṭi) — I do not long for the company of devas, having dispelled the anguish in my heart." Mittā.
