[445] 7. While I was living in the house, having heard the Dhamma from a bhikkhu,
I saw the stainless Dhamma — Nibbāna, the imperishable state (padam accutaṃ).
Then I, forsaking son and daughter, wealth and grain,
having had my hair cut off, went forth into homelessness.
While I was a probationer (sikkhamānā), developing the straight path (magga),
I abandoned lust (rāga) and hatred (dosa), together with the taints (āsava) conjoined with them.
Having received full ordination as a bhikkhunī, I recollected my former birth;
the divine eye (dibbacakkhu) was purified — spotless, well developed.
Having seen formations (saṅkhārā) as other, arisen from causes, subject to dissolution,
I abandoned all the taints; I have become cool, I am quenched.
