[462] 1. A bhikkhunī accomplished in virtue, well restrained in the faculties,
may attain the peaceful state, never cloying, full of sweet essence.¹
The devas of Tāvatiṃsa and of Yāma, and the deities of Tusita too,
the Nimmānaratī devas, and those devas who wield power (vasavattī) —
direct your mind (citta) there, where you dwelt before.
The devas of Tāvatiṃsa and of Yāma, and the deities of Tusita too,
the Nimmānaratī devas, and those devas who wield power —
time after time, from existence to existence, putting personal identity (sakkāya) first,
not having transcended identity, they run on through birth (jāti) and death (maraṇa).
All the world is set aflame; all the world is burning on every side;²
all the world is ablaze; all the world is shaken.
Unshaken, incomparable, not resorted to by worldlings (puthujjana) —
the Buddha taught me that Dhamma; there my mind delights.
Having heard his word, I dwelt delighting in the teaching;
the three true knowledges (vijjā) have been attained; the Buddha's teaching has been carried out.
Everywhere delight (nandī) has been destroyed; the mass of darkness has been shattered.
Know thus, Evil One: you are struck down, End-maker (Antaka).
