[2000] "I have seen the celestial mansions (vimāna) shining over all four quarters,
face to face with the king of the devas, and face to face with the Thirty (Tidasa) gods.
I have dwelt in a divine abode; I have enjoyed sensual pleasures not of human kind,
among the Tāvatiṃsa devas, who abound in every sensual delight.
Having forsaken such [splendor], I have come here for the sake of merit;
I shall practice only the Dhamma; I have no need of kingship.
The path where the rod does not range, taught by the Fully Self-Enlightened One (sammāsambuddha) —
that path I shall enter upon, by which those of good vows go."
The Sādhīnarāja Jātaka, the Eleventh, [is ended].
