[2016] Grasping sword and shield, brandishing the sabre, brahmins (brāhmaṇa) stand upon the merchants' (vessa) roads, and they convoy caravans as well; the equals of cowherds and hunters (nisāda), they too are called brahmins. These have been declared to you, great king — shall we resort to such as these? #1 Ma. (Burmese ed.): nilañchakā; Yu. (European ed.): tilañchakā.
