[2006] Taking up the water-pot and a crooked staff, brahmins (brāhmaṇā) will wait upon kings in villages and in towns, [resolving:] "We shall not rise up, in village or in town, so long as nothing is given." Though they are the equals of extortioners, O king, they too are called brahmins. These have been declared to you, great king — shall we resort to such as these?
