Bhikkhāparamparajātaka

[2031] I neither cook nor cause others to cook; I neither cut nor cause others to cut. Knowing me to be one who has nothing (akiñcana), one abstaining from all evils, the seer (isi), taking the almsfood in his left hand and the water-jar (kamaṇḍalu) in his right, presented me with a meal dressed with pure meat. For it is these — those who still have their possessions — who are rightly fit to give; whoever would invite the giver, him I deem one who acts contrary.
