[2032] Truly it was for my benefit that the bull among charioteers (rathesabha) came here today,
in that today I understand¹ where a gift given bears great fruit.
Kings are greedy for realms; brahmins, for duties great and small;
seers are greedy for roots and fruits; but bhikkhus are fully released.
The Bhikkhāparampara Jātaka, the Thirteenth, is ended.

The summary (uddāna) thereof:
The parrot, the kinnara, the osprey, and the rough antelope-hide;
the lotus stalks, the chief queen, the excellent pigeon;
then the peacock, that with the carpenter, and the merchant;
then the king, that with the brahmins, and the succession of alms.
The Pakiṇṇakanipāta (Miscellaneous Collection) is concluded.
