[2187] Sixteen thousand women, adorned with jeweled earrings, women who make their couch in dwellings of the waters — they too have gone to him for refuge. #1 Burmese ed.: janā. 2 Burmese ed.: pañcadasiṃ. Release him righteously (dhammena), without violence, with a village, with a nikkha of gold, with a hundred cattle; with his body set free, let the serpent go his way; let the seeker of merit be released from bondage.
