"He by whom the country folk were gathered together and brought over to allegiance,
by whom abundant wealth was carried home from other realms after he had overpowered them,
who is the foremost of archers, a hero, and keen in counsel —
that boy imagines, 'It is through me that this king is made happy.'
And he, O lady, no longer comes even to wait upon me as before:
for that fault I would give my brother to the water demon (dakarakkhin)."
