Khandhaparittajātaka

Suttapiṭaka · Khuddakanikāya · Jātaka (1) · Vol. 27 · Section 256

[256] "Measureless (appamāṇa) is the Buddha, measureless the Dhamma, measureless the Saṅgha; but creeping things have their measure — the snake, the scorpion, the centipede, the spider, the house lizard, and the mouse. I have made my protection, I have made my safeguard (paritta); let beings withdraw. And so I pay homage to the Blessed One; homage to the seven Fully Self-Enlightened Ones (sammāsambuddhā)." The Khandhaparitta Jātaka, the third. ___________ 4. The Vīraka Jātaka
