[504] The devas (devā) have passed beyond false speech (musāvāda); do you not hold truth (sacca), the real, as supreme, O Sakka? Yet that word of yours was spoken falsely, O king of devas — on account of what, O Maghavā, Mahinda, [did you speak so]?
