[1057] Then a tumultuous sound, dreadful and great, resounded there: when the noble elephant (hatthināga) had been given away, the city then was thrown into turmoil. Then a tumultuous sound, dreadful and great, resounded there, when the noble elephant, the augmenter of the realm of the Sivis, had been given away.
