[1063] "Rise up, steward! Going in haste, tell Vessantara: 'Sire, the Sivis are angry with you, and the townsfolk have assembled— nobles and princes, merchants and farmers (vesiyānā), and brahmins; elephant-riders, guardsmen, charioteers, and foot-soldiers— the town in its entirety and the Sivis have gathered together. At the waning of this night, toward the rising of the sun, the Sivis, having become united, will banish you from the realm.'"
