[1151] "And here at the water's edge, brahmin, there stand trees:
kadambas and pāṭalīs in full bloom, and koviḷāras in flower;
aṅkolas and kaccikāras and pārijaññas in flower;
vāraṇa and vuyhana trees stand on both sides of the Mucalinda lake.
Sirīsas and white pārisas and padmakas waft their fragrance sweetly;
niggaṇḍīs, saraniggaṇḍīs, and asanas too are here in flower.
Paṅkuras, bahulas, selas, and sobhañjanas in flower;
ketakas and kaṇikāras and kaṇaveras in flower.
Ajjunas and ajjukaṇṇas and mahānāmas in flower;
the kiṃsukas stand with their crests all in blossom, as though ablaze.
Setapaṇṇīs, sattapaṇṇas, plantains (kadalī), and kusumbharas,
with the blossoms of dhanus and takkāris, and sīsapās and varaṇas too;
acchipas and silk-cotton trees (simbalī) and sallakīs in flower;
setagerūs and tagarikās, maṃsīs, koṭṭhas, and kulāvaras.
Trees young and full-grown, none of them crooked, stand here in flower;
they stand on both sides of the hermitage, all around the fire-hall."
