[1197] She lamented there among the mountains and the woods, then went back once more to the hermitage and wept beside her husband: "Truly, Your Majesty, I do not see by whom they have been carried off dead; not even the ravens cry out — surely my children are dead! Truly, Your Majesty, I do not see by whom they have been carried off dead; not even the birds cry out — surely my children are dead! Truly, Your Majesty, I do not see by whom they have been carried off dead, though I wander at the roots of trees, on the mountains, and in the caves." Thus Maddī of lovely form, the renowned royal princess, stretching forth her arms and wailing, fell right there upon the ground.
